CAST

Wesley Allen (Velociraptor of Innocence) is very excited to return to Blank Canvas Theatre! You might remember him from Hair! Triassic Parq is his fifth production since returning to Cleveland after graduating from Ohio University with a B.F.A in Theater Performance.  He now works at The City Club of Cleveland. He was last seen in Wolves at convergence-continuum, and Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays and Fire on the Water, both at Cleveland Public Theatre.  Thank you, Mom, Ben, and Brünni for all the continued support.



Michael Crowley (Mime-A-Saurus) is making his Blank Canvas Theatre debut! A recent graduate of Kent State’s Musical Theatre program, Michael has appeared in Bonnie & Clyde (Buck), Hot Mikado (Pooh-Bah), Babes in Arms (Marshall), Pride and Prejudice (Col. Fitzwilliam/Mr. Bennett u/s), She Stoops to Conquer (Hastings), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Flute), and Reefer Madness (Lecturer). Other credits include Urinetown (Bobby Strong), and Lend Me A Tenor (Max) at Rabbit Run Theatre, The Drowsy Chaperone (Feldzeig), and Carousel (Carnival Boy) at The Huron Playhouse, as well as appearing in the Barbershop Quartet of Cedar Point’s Lusty Lil’s Revue last summer.  Michael has also performed internationally at the Edinburgh (Scotland) Festival Fringe last summer in A Collection of Grimm’s Fairytales (Mother/Others). I love dinosaurs and you should, too.

 

Neely Gevaart (T-Rex 2) is very excited to be back at Blank Canvas Theatre!  She was previously seen here in Hair (Crissy) and The Texas Chainsaw Musical! (Kristy). Some of her favorite past shows include: Violet (Violet), The Light in the Piazza (Franca), and The Boy Friend (Adult Ensemble). She is very excited to be playing her first non-human role with this amazing cast! Thanks to her friends and family for all of their support. Everybody walk the dinosaur!!

 

Kate Leigh Michalski (T-Rex 1) is elated to finally be a dinosaur. Previous favorite shows include The Texas Chainsaw Musical! (Lucretia), Godspell, High Fidelity (Liz), Hair, Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown), Twelfth Night (Maria/Feste), and ...Spelling Bee (Olive).  She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Point Park University.  Thanks so much to Patrick for the opportunity to be a singing prehistoric predator!  Knowledge fact:  Tyrannosaurus means "tyrant lizard."  Love you, Mom! Love you, Dad.

 

 


Aaron Patterson (Velociraptor of Faith) was most recently seen as Jesus in Jesus Christ, Superstar at True North Cultural Arts, and as Ian/Neil Young in High Fidelity:  A Musical and Chief Bromden in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, both here at Blank Canvas Theatre.  He is a cast member of Something Dada Improvisational Comedy Company.  Glad to be back at the Blank, bitches!

 

 


Eryn Reynolds (Velociraptor of Science) is entering her junior year as a musical theatre student at Ashland University.  Eryn most recently performed in the play The House of Blue Leaves (Corrinna Stroller) and originated the role of Becky Farrell in the play In The Event Of My Death.  Other notable productions in which Eryn has performed include The Wizard of Oz (Dance Captain/Featured Ensemble), Godspell (Robin), Fiddler on the Roof (Fruma Sarah), This Property is Condemned (Willie)and Brigadoon (Kate/Maggie u/s). 

 

 

 


Matthew Dolan (Musical Director) is very excited to be making his first appearance at Blank Canvas Theatre.  Recent musical directing credits include Oliver! (Beck Center for the Arts) and A Christmas Story - The Musical (True North Cultural Arts).  Currently, Matthew is a member of the faculty at Beck Center for the Arts, where he teaches courses on singing and has served as the Musical Director for the musical theater camp.  Outside of music directing, Matthew is a longtime improviser.  He is entering his eighth season as a member of Something Dada, Cleveland’s longest-running improv comedy show, and last year co-founded Just Go With It, a long-form improv company specializing in interdisciplinary improvisation.  Matthew earned his Masters of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Akron in 2013.  He also serves as the current Director of Music at Peace Lutheran Church.  



Brittany Gaul (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be back at Blank Canvas Theatre!  Recent stage management credits include High Fidelity: A Musical  (BCT), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (BCT), Night of the Living Dead (BCT), Adventures in Slumberland (Talespinner Children’s Theatre), and The Emperor’s Ears (TCT). Recent acting credits include: Bad Jews (Daphna), Fire on the Water (Ensemble), Loki & Lucy (Mom/Fenrir), One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest (Nurse Flinn), and Love in Pieces (Ophelia). Brittany works as an actor, stage manager and teaching artist for several theatres and arts programs throughout Cleveland.

 


Morgan Parker (Costume Designer) is excited to be designing the costumes for this show after costuming Extremities here at Blank Canvas Theatre. She is a junior fashion design student at Kent State with a minor in costuming.


 

 

 

Katie Zarecki (Choreographer) is very excited to be involved in this awesome production.  She recently finished performing in Extremities, here at Blank Canvas Theatre. Some of her favorite credits are Legally Blonde (Vivienne), Henry IV: Part One (Mistress Quickly), and Evil Dead - The Musical (Cheryl). She has choreographed with various theaters in the Cleveland area and is the resident choreographer for Cleveland Heights High School.  She loves to spend her summers singing, dancing, and sword fighting with the Ohio Shakespeare Festival.
