Ian Atwood (The Creature) is a native of the St. Louis area who moved to Cleveland after receiving his B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Ohio Northern University.  Recent credits include The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Frollo), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Sweeney), Into the Woods (The Baker), Jekyll & Hyde (Utterson), A Little Night Music (Carl Magnus) and Shrek The Musical (Shrek).  His credits at Blank Canvas Theatre include Working (Man 2), Merrily We Roll Along in concert (Joe), Night of the Living Dead (Sheriff McClelland), and the COVID-era drive-in concert, Night of the Living Theatre (Jason Voorhees). Many thanks to Patrick for his friendship and for continuing to have a space where support and love rule, to Anthony and production staff, and to this amazing ensemble for bringing me back to life.  And to the person reading this, thank you for supporting this place and live theatre.  Love to Jess, Neil, and Maggie. Clara Edleman (Ensemble) is very excited to be part of this thrilling musical.  Clara’s favorite past roles include Carrie in Carrie: The Musical, Regina George in Mean Girls, Anna in Spring Awakening, Young Fiona in Shrek the Musical, Tiny Tim/Master William in A Christmas Carol (Great Lakes Theatre), JoJo in Seussical, Wendy in Lost Girl, and Amanda in Matilda The Musical.  Clara has trained in classical ballet since age four!  Her passion for musical theater extends into songwriting and guitar performance.  Clara would like to thank her friends, family, and mentors for their endless support. Amani Green(Agatha/Father/Ensemble) is very excited to perform in another Blank Canvas Theatre production!  Recent credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Ronette), The Marvelous Wonderettes (Cindy Lou), and Hairspray (Motormouth Maybelle).  She is excited for you to see Cleveland premiere of Frankenstein!  Enjoy!

 

 

 

 

Lysa Balmer Kenney (Victor's Mother/ Ensemble)  is ELECTRIFIED to be in this premiere opportunity.  In addition to this one, her favorite roles include those in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Mrs. Lovett), Twelfth Night (Viola), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Alice/Drood), Tony n’ Tina's WeddingThe Sound of Music (Mother Superior), Amadeus (Constanze Weber), and many other wives and mothers....So much love to my kith and kin who are always there to support me, and to my boys who keep me grounded. John Harrington (Henry Clerval/Ensemble) is very excited to be back on the Blank Canvas Theatre stage!  He was previously seen in BCT’s production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (Tragedian).  Some of his other previous credits include the English-language premiere of Where Are You Going, Little Horse? (Carnival Master), Heddatron (Cubby Gordon), The Sandbox (Young Man), The 25th  …Spelling Bee (Leaf Coneybear), All My Sons (Joe Keller), and Rumors (Lenny).  He is a recent graduate of Skidmore College who has also trained at Brooklyn Comedy Collective.  John is a musician, comedian, reader, writer, and a big Cleveland sports fan.  He would like to thank the cast and crew for their incredible work, and his friends and family for their support.

 

Nicholas Taylor Hassan (Ensemble) is thrilled to be in the ensemble of Frankenstein: The Musical.  His recent credits include The Beautiful and the Damned (Maury) at convergence-continuum;  Groundhog Day (Ensemble/Jeff) at Blank Canvas Theatre; and Fairview (Jimbo), Urinetown: The Musical (Hot Blades Harry),  and The Aliens (Jasper) at Cleveland State University.  Nick is a recent college graduate who now holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from CSU. He is freakin’ pumped to be spending this Halloween with the great people at BCT, telling the story of one of the world's most infamous monsters.

 

 

Madeline Jarosz (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making her debut with Blank Canvas Theatre in this production!  Her past acting credits include Radium Girls (Katherine Schaub/Shopgirl), Disney’s Newsies (Elmer), The Music Man (Featured Dancer/Pick-a-Little lady), and Big Fish (Sandra Bloom).  She also has production crew and design credits including Anton in Show Business (Lighting Designer), Radium Girls (Set Designer), The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] (Co-director/Lighting Designer/ Playbill Designer), and an upcoming production of The Addams Family (Assistant Director) in 2026.  She thanks her family and friends from the bottom of her heart for supporting her passions and career in the arts; their support means the world.  Frankenstein: The Musical is one of her favorite shows, and she is blessed to be in its Cleveland premiere…It's Alive! @maddiej_10702

 

 

Ezri Maldonado (Ensemble) is very excited to perform Frankenstein: The Musical.  She has appeared in one previous show with Blank Canvas Theatre, that being Little Shop of Horrors (Chiffon) in 2024.  Her other works outside of BCT include Grease (Rizzo) at Olde Town Hall Theatre, Once Upon a Mattress (Jester) at Silhouette Theatre, and The Little Mermaid (Adella) at Cassidy Theatre.  She trained in acting at both Lorain County Community College and Baldwin Wallace University in 2019, and also attended Beginnings Workshop in 2019 and Arts International in 2025.  Please enjoy our version of Frankenstein: The Musical

 

 

 

Amanda Medley (Elizabeth Lavenza) is thrilled to be making her Blank Canvas Theatre debut.  Amanda holds a M.M. from NYU Steinhardt in Vocal Performance: Musical Theatre, and an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy and B.S. in Music Education from Olivet Nazarene University.  Amanda has spent her career as a music educator, teaching artist, vocal coach, and performer throughout Northeast Ohio and New York City. Favorite credits include Dearest Enemy (Betsy Burke), Jekyll & Hyde (Emma), A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (Sibella, Phoebe), Ragtime (Mother), Mary Poppins (Winifred Banks), The Secret Garden (Lily), Into the Woods (Cinderella, Baker’s Wife, Rapunzel), and Peter Pan (Peter). Kate Leigh Michalski (Justine)’s credits include Disaster! (Shirley), Evil Dead - The Musical (Cheryl), We Will Rock You (Oz), Reefer Madness (Mae), The Texas Chainsaw Musical! (Lucretia), Zombie Prom (Delilah Strict), The SpongeBob Musical (Pearl Krabs), and Leap of Faith (Marla McGowan) at Blank Canvas Theatre;  She Loves Me (Amalia Balish), Parade (Lucille Frank), The 25th...Spelling Bee (Olive) at French Creek Theatre; Chess (Florence) at Brecksville Theatre; The Spitfire Grill (Shelby) at Beck Center for the Arts; and  The Toxic Avenger (Mayor/Ma) and  Ragtime (Emma Goldman) at Cain Park.  She holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Point Park University.  Love you, Mom! Andy Novak (Victor Frankenstein) is honored to be making his Blank Canvas Theatre debut in this production.  Recent credits at other area theatres include Cabaret (Cliff Bradshaw), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Quasimodo), and The Producers (Leo Bloom). Andy is a vocal music teacher for Bay Village City Schools, and frequently works as a music director, accompanist, and singer for churches, schools, and theatres throughout the Cleveland area.  He is currently in the process of finishing his M.A. in Music Education at Case Western Reserve University.  Andy would like to extend his gratitude to Patrick, Anthony, and loved ones both far and near.

 

 

 

Kyle Rickert (Ensemble) is very excited to appear for the first time with Blank Canvas Theatre.  Recent credits include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Lawrence Jamieson) with Aurora Community Theatre, as well as Death Takes a Holiday (Death) and Merrily We Roll Along (Charley Kringas), both with CWRU Footlighters.  Thank you to the cast and crew of this production, friends, and family, and a special thanks to Sarah. 

 

 

 

 

Peter Seidl (Robert Walton/Ensemble) is thrilled to return to Blank Canvas Theater!  He previously appeared at BCT in Alice by Heart (Nigel/Dormouse).  Other recent credits include The Wizard of Oz (Tinman), Curtains (Aaron Fox), and The Music Man (Harold Hill). In his spare time, Peter practices and plays the accordion, surrounding himself with Greek music while also working toward completing his pre-law degree.  He is so thankful to the cast and creative team behind this production and would like to thank his family and friends who continue to inspire him to strive for better!

 

 

Simeon Schmitt (Ensemble) is thrilled to perform in his first production with Blank Canvas Theatre.  He has been seen on many stages throughout Northeast Ohio, including Beck Center for the Arts in A Chorus Line (Greg Gardner) and Joseph…Dreamcoat (Zebulun/ Dance Captain); Weathervane Playhouse in Cabaret (Victor) and Matilda The Musical  (Escapologist); and Near West Theatre in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Neil Sedaka/Barry Mann u/s).  Simeon is a senior at Baldwin Wallace University, where he studies Arts Management with an emphasis in Music Theatre.  He would like to thank Patrick, Anthony, and the entire cast and crew for their dedication to this show.  He sends his love to his family and friends – who push him to be the best he can be. Aria Sova (William) is 11 years old (turning 12 during the run of this show!) and a 6th grader at Rocky River Middle School.  As an October baby and a horror fanatic, she is thrilled to take on her first role at Blank Canvas Theatre in this production. Her favorite past credits include Matilda the Musical (Matilda), A Christmas Carol (Soloist), Bugsy Malone (Lena Marelli), Amahl and the Night Visitors (Amahl understudy), and Finn (Frances).  Aria is a cheerleader and a runner, and participates in band (trumpet), choir, and Westshore Young Leaders.  She is also a proud member of The Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Choir for the 2025 - 2026 season.  You can follow her onstage adventures on Instagram or YouTube at @ariasovaofficial.  Aria is super-grateful and excited to be working with such an incredible cast and crew, and believes that this story is an important reminder that the kindness and acceptance we show - or withhold - can profoundly shape the lives of others. 

 

Patrick Ciamacco (Director, Lighting, Projection, & Set Design) is so excited to be working on this show and collaborating with people he loves and respects!  Patrick is the Artistic Director and founder of Blank Canvas Theatre.  He dedicates this show to the person sitting in the first row, first seat from the left.

 

 

 

 

Jenna Rhoades (Sound Operator) is thrilled to be back at Blank Canvas Theatre!  Some of her favorite past shows include Groundhog Day (Stage Manager), Disaster! (Sound Operator), Pippin (Sound Operator), Hair (Assistant Stage Manager), Shrek The Musical (Assistant Stage Manager), and Dead Man's Cell Phone (Assistant Director). Jenna attended Heidelberg University as a Communications major and was heavily involved in theatre there as an executive member of Heidelberg’s chapter of the National Theatre Honor Society, Alpha Psi Omega.  Lots of love to Nana, Homey, mom, and Zara for their love and support!  Enjoy the show!! 

 

 

 

Mandalyn Stevens (Stage Manager) ’s recent credits include Alice By Heart, The Mousetrap, The Crucible, John Proctor is the Villain, and The Moors.  During the day, you will find her working at Vincent Lighting Systems as an Account Executive.  She wants to thank her family and friends for their support! She’d also like to say “meow" to her fur babes.

 

 

 

 

Anthony Trifiletti (Music Director) is an active conductor, pianist, and vocalist working throughout Northeastern Ohio.  He is a 2014 graduate of the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance.  While at UD, Anthony was the recipient of the Award for Outstanding Collaborative Pianist and was a featured performer at the 2012 American Choral Directors Association National Convention.  Anthony has held positions at Playhouse Square, Beck Center for the Arts, Rubber City Theatre, Blank Canvas Theatre, French Creek Theatre, The Lorain Palace Theatre, Stocker Center for the Arts, Lorain Community Music Theatre, The Human Race Theatre Company, Dayton Opera, Dayton Philharmonic Youth Strings, and numerous other venues.  Aside from his work in theatre, Anthony is the Artistic Director for Choral Spectrum, an auditioned adult choral ensemble based in Oberlin, Ohio.  Anthony is also an active church musician, serving as the Director of Music and Liturgy at St. Peter Parish in Lorain.

 

Katie Wells (Costume Design) is thrilled to be back at Blank Canvas Theatre where she was last seen ON stage in The Crucible (Elizabeth Proctor),One Man, Two Guvnors (Pauline) and Equus (Nurse).  Katie is an award-winning costume designer whose costumes have been seen on stages and screens throughout Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. She recently made her professional Toronto debut as both an actor and a designer this summer at the York Plays 2025 Festival.  Some of her favorite Northeast Ohio theatres for which she has designed include Cleveland Public Theatre, Ensemble Theatre, French Creek Theatre, and Rubber City Theatre.  Thanks to Pat for this opportunity and thank YOU for supporting local theatre!
