The Stories

The Toxic Avenger

Based on Lloyd Kaufman's cult film and winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Musical, The Toxic Avenger is a charming love story and laugh-out-loud musical that has it all: an unlikely hero, his beautiful girlfriend, a corrupt New Jersey mayor and two guys who play... well, everyone else ... Melvin Ferd, the Third, wants to clean up Tromaville, the most polluted town in New Jersey (just off Exit 13B on the Turnpike). Foiled by the mayor's bullies, Melvin is dumped into a vat of radioactive toxic waste, only to reemerge as The Toxic Avenger, New Jersey's first superhero. Affectionately known as Toxie, our new hero is a seven-foot mutant freak with superhuman strength and a heart as big as Newark. He's out to save New Jersey, end global warming, and woo the blind librarian in town. It's a toxic love story with an environmental twist! The Toxic Avenger will leave audiences laughing in the aisles as it rocks the house. Featuring a wailin' rock score, this comical musical has something for everyone to enjoy.

Evil Dead The Musical

Based on Sam Raimi’s 80’s cult classic films, Evil Dead: The Musical unearths the old familiar story: boy and friends take a weekend getaway at abandoned cabin, boy expects to get lucky, boy unleashes ancient evil spirit, friends turn into Candarian Demons, boy fights until dawn to survive. As musical mayhem descends upon this sleepover in the woods, "camp" takes on a whole new meaning with uproarious numbers like "All the Men in my Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons", "What the F&%* Was That?" and "Do the Necronomicon".

This show will have a SPLATTERZONE!!!

The Toxic Avenger

Melvin Ferd the Third/Toxic Avenger: *THIS ROLE HAS BEEN PRECAST and will be played by Patrick Ciamacco.*

Unattractive and sensitive, Melvin is an earth scientist with an eye on solving global warming. Turned into a hideous monster with an occasionally unruly temper, he becomes Toxie.

Sarah The blind Librarian: (Female, 20-40 Mezzo-Soprano) The classic heroine. She sees only the good in everyone and everything around her. Although at first glance pure and naïve, she is no stranger to sex and is an aspiring writer of graphic romance novels. Falls madly in love with the Toxic Avenger, fantasizing that he is her big French boyfriend. Speaks exactly what is on her mind.

Mayor Babs Belgoody/Ma Ferd/Nun: (Female, 40-65. Alto) As the Mayor, she is corrupt and scheming, accepting loads of cash in return for storing toxic waste in the town she was elected to protect. Uses her sexuality for political gain. Determined to become governor of New Jersey at any cost. As Ma, she is tough, working class.

White Dude/Dudette: (Male or Female, age 20-50. Tenor/Mezzo-Soprano). Actor should be physically versatile with strong dialects as actor plays numerous distinctive. quirky and outrageous roles, both male and female, such as Dr. Fishbein, Bozo the Bully, Sal the Cop, and Lorenzo the Hairdresser. Must move well.

Ethnic Dude/Dudette: (Male or Female, age 20-50. Tenor/Mezzo-Soprano) Any ethnicity other than Caucasian. Actor should be physically versatile with strong dialects as actor plays numerous distinctive, quirky and outrageous roles, both male and female, such as Professor Ken, Sluggo the Bully, Little Old Lady and Shinequa the Friend. Must move well.

 Evil Dead The Musical

Ash: (Male, 18-35. Baritone) Hero and iconic character of the musical, devoted S-Mart housewares employee evolves over the course of the show from a cowardly college student to a wise cracking deadite slayer with his detachable hand chainsaw and 12 gauge "boomstick”; baritone.

Cheryl: (Female, 20-40. Alto) Ash's sister and the odd woman out in the group, looking to spend a week relaxing, she is the recipient of Scotty's jokes and torment, the only one to sense the evil surrounding the cabin, she is the first to be possessed, turning her into an aggressive, foul mouthed demon that speaks in very bad puns, spends the majority of the show locked in the cellar; alto.

Shelly: (Female, 18-35. Mezzo-Soprano) Beautiful, easy, and not too smart, Scotty's latest fling and looking to party, just because she becomes an evil demon doesn't mean she can't look good doing it.

Annie: (Female, 18-45. Mezzo-Soprano) The overbearing, sexy, explorer who finds missing pages to the Necronomicon and wants to reunite with her father to continue their research, very bossy and drawn to Ash, must be comfortable in a tear away revealing costume. May DOUBLE SHELLY, a random girl who Scott picked up drunk at a bar three days ago.

Linda: (Female, 18-35. Soprano) The prototypical girl next door, sweet, thoughtful, and completely devoted to Ash, until she turns evil and tries to kill him, laughs an annoyingly inordinate amount of time after transforming.

Scott: (Male, 18-35. Tenor) Good looking, cocky, a prankster and Ash's best friend, thinks himself the brave one until he's forced to kill, then his panic leads him to flee, returns to warn Ash about the woods and attempts to help his friend even as he is knocking on death's door; tenor.

Ed: (Male, 18-45. Baritone/Bass) Annie's coworker, boyfriend, and doormat, travels with her to the cabin to proceed with their research of the book of the dead, after turning evil, his confidence may lack but this "Bit Part Demon" is ready to sing. May DOUBLE MOOSE, a possessed moose head on the wall of the cabin.

Jake: (Male, 30-50. Baritone) Stereotypical Southerner and reliable enough to help Annie and Ed find the path to the cabin, but too stupid and stubborn to listen to reason that will keep him alive. Good, old, and reliable. Seems to know far too much about the musical. Spends his time wandering the woods around the cabin.

Fake Shemp: (Male, 18-50. Non-singing) This role is basically all of the small roles in the show - the severed hand, the headless body, etc.

Yippee Ki Yay Merry Christmas: A DIE HARD Musical Parody

Bruce McClane: (Male 25-45, Baritone) grizzled blue collar New York cop who’s comfortable in his role of catching bad guys. He’s a man of the law, but doesn’t necessarily follow it to the T. A gunslinger who shoots from the hip and seemingly reacts from one crisis to the next. He’s a family man striving to save his marriage, but just can’t seem to get things right because he’s too stubborn to see beyond traditional gender roles.

Hans Olo: (Male 35-50. Baritone) A fashion forward white collar criminal who wants nothing more than to be recognized for the class and sophistication he exudes. The foil to Bruce, Hans is everything Bruce is not, educated, well spoken, and put together. A meticulous planner who always has everything under control, but can improvise when necessary.

Holly Generic: (Female, 25-45, Mezzo-Soprano) CFO of the Nakatomi Corporation for Making Money Business. She’s a strong independent woman living in a male dominated world, but that doesn’t mean she’s not in charge. Intelligent, brave, and not intimidated by high stress situations, Holly can handle anything thrown at her. She loves her husband Bruce, but that doesn’t mean she sacrifices her own personal identity and success for his feelings.

Carl Winslow: (African American Male or Female, 30-50. Baritone/Bass) An LAPD patrolman who spends most of his time behind a desk these days. He’s been around the block though and knows what real police work is all about. A literal blue collar cop who can see both the big picture and the nitty gritty of things. He respects rank, but not necessarily the voice or presumed authority behind it. Oh yeah, and he really loves Twinkies.

Terrorist Klaus/Terrorist Tony: (Male or Female, 20-45. Baritone/Mezzo-Soprano) Brothers and Hans’ first and second lieutenants respectively. Klaus, the older of the two, is the muscle strong, but dumb in an innocent childlike fashion. He also could be a genius. Tony is the younger more analytical of the two. Klaus has a deep love for his younger brother Tony.

Nintendo Nakatomi: (Asian Male or Female, 25-45. Baritone/Alto) CEO of the Nakatomi Corporation for Making Money Business. Nakatomi is a successful business man with the ability to surround himself with good people, aka Holly. He’s proud of his success, but knows that perception is sometimes more important than reality. Well educated in the in philosophy and the classics, particularly Shakespeare, Nakatomi may seem the fool but can be wise beyond his words.

Fabrique/Theo: (African American Male, 20-45. Baritone) Cocky, streetwise, and hip to all things 80s pop culture. More than any other characters of the show they represent LA youth culture in the 80s. Often getting dismissed by their peers as young and immature, Fabrique and Theo are wiser than their lingo characterizes.

Willis: (Male or Female, 25-45. Baritone/Mezzo-Soprano) A sleazy coked out 80s salesman. Willis has a slick tongue, but no courage or confidence to back it up. He’s a coward at heart who can only muster up bravado with a little booger sugar...well a lot of booger sugar, aka cocaine. Seriously, so much cocaine.

Dwayne T. Principal Vernon Robinson: (Male or Female, 35-55. Bass/Alto) open ethnicity Deputy Chief of the LAPD. He thinks he’s in charge, but he’s not. He’s an idiot who masks his incompetence with an air of authority. That authority and confidence crumbles at the slightest sign of adversity.

FBI Johnson: (Male or Female, 30-55. Baritone/Alto) open ethnicity The embodiment of American arrogance. Everything the rest of the world makes fun of about the USA. He’s a bald eagle draped in an American flag holding an AR15 in one hand a Budweiser in the other Marlboro red in his lips screaming about righteousness of the American Constitution.

Arnold Schwartzen -Schnitzel: (Male or Female, 20-45. Baritone/Alto) Basically the Terminator (from T2), but with the knowledge of every 80s action hero. This isn’t his first time saving the day, and he gives Bruce the tools and confidence he needs to be his own hero.
